Important Notice for Your Entry into Namibia
As of April 1, 2025, new entry requirements for Namibia will take effect. The free tourist visa stamp that many travelers previously received at passport control upon arrival at the airport will be replaced by a paid visa. This visa can be applied for online or obtained upon arrival at the airport. As a "Visa on Arrival," it will also be available at many border crossings (but not all!). The current cost is 1,600 Namibian Dollars.

Which Countries Are Affected by the New Visa Requirement?
The new visa regime applies to nationals and citizens of the following countries:

Required Documents for Visa Application
The following documents and information are required for the new Namibia visa application (both online and on-site). Travelers entering Namibia with an online-approved Visa-on-Arrival confirmation must be prepared to present all relevant documents upon request by immigration officers
- Valid passport (at least 6 months valid with 3 blank pages)
- Completed visa application form
- Invitation/motivation letter (if applicable)
- Proof of sufficient financial means upon entry
- Accommodation confirmation and proof of travel bookings, itinerary, and routes
- Medical/travel insurance
- Printed, approved eVisa
- Full birth certificate or parental consent letter if traveling with children
eVisas can be used at all official Namibian entry points.

Entry Form: In addition to the visa, travelers must still complete an entry form. If arriving by plane, this form will be provided shortly before landing. The exit form is no longer required.
